The countdown to the establishment of a new government kicked off Monday night after newly appointed Kadima chair Tzipi Livni accepted the task of forming a new government shortly after she was nominated by President Shimon Peres to tackle the post. Livni has 42 days to complete the task, which will require all her diplomatic skills in order to settle disputes among the different Knesset factions. 09/23/08
