Consumed in flames --- more than 350 people ae dead after a massive fire swept through this prison in Honduras, many of them trapped inside their cells.
The Comayagua facility some 45 miles north of Tegucigalpa, had a history of being overcrowded and violent. When the blaze began Tuesday evening-- that would be the least of the prison's problems.
By morning, the drama would move outside the prison as panicked relatives tried to force their way in. Police fired into the air and used tear gas to drive the group back.
The Comayagua blaze is considered one of the worst prison fires ever in Latin America.
