Hari Sharma delivered a special Lecture arranged by Prof. S Mohanty, Dean & Principal o of the College, Bhubaneswar on Jan 06, 2012. His talk was to show that neural injuries could be aggravated in presence of nanoparticles. Furthermore nanoparticles intoxication could have more profound effects in hypertensive or diabetic cases. However, these changes, i.e. bran pathology following nanoparticle intoxication in hypertensive or diabetic animals are further exacerbated at high environmental temperature. This means that Military personal working under stressful situation in desert environment may suffer more duirng summer months and in such situations if they get CNS injuries, extra care is needed to treat them. In experimental situations cerebrolysin in high doses was found to be useful. However further studies are needed to see if cerebrolysin may have added value in clinical settings under these circumstances.
