German architect Rainer Mielke has designed and built himself a luxurious, light-filled penthouse on top of a former World War II bunker, a bunker that his elderly neighbours remember sheltering in during air raids.
Bremen's centrally-located bunkers are becoming popular with property developers but there is a catch: nearly all were built with forced labour.
