Australian paramedics responding to reports of car crash declared the driver dead and loaded him into the coroner's van.
SOUNDBITE: Tow truck driver, Trevor Oliver saying:
"As we were sitting there and we were most probably only 20 meters away there was certainly movement in the feet and we became alarmed."
A sign of life --- not long after after the 30-year-old man was pried from his porsche.
Local authorities are investigating the incident.
SOUNDBITE: Simon Thomson, Ambulance Victoria regional manager saying:
"They assessed the man and he demonstrated no signs of life. I don't believe that there was any treatment initiated at that time.
The victim has been taken to a local hospital and is reported to be in critical condition.
