Interpol has issued a "red notice" in a bid to locate Iraqi Vice-President Tareq al-Hashemi.
He is accused of running Sunni armed groups to target Shi'ite officials.
Al-Hashemi fled Baghdad when the claims emerged last year and could now be in Turkey.
The "red notice" is not an arrest warrant, it instead puts pressure on countries to help locate him.
