The Hollywood premiere for "Step Up Revolution" started with style as more than a dozen dancers hit the red carpet in a surprise performance that brought screaming fans to their feet Tuesday night (July 17) at the famed Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Stars Ryan Guzman and Kathryn McCormick soon followed along with the rest of the cast for the dance film that is the latest installment in the hit franchise.
"Step Up Revolution," the 4th film in the series, is set against the vibrant backdrop of Miami.
Guzman, who had no prior dance training, also acknowledged the inevitable comparisons to Channing Tatum, who starred in the first film. But, said he wanted to make the role his own and worked hard to achieve that.
McCormick, of "So You Think You Can Dance" fame, believes the movie offers something for everyone. While Ryan thinks its may be the best film out of the franchise yet.
"Step Up Revolution" opens in the U.S. on July 27.
