The Olympics are set to kick off this week but for Mexican band Molotov, they've already won gold.
Their sixth studio album "From Russia With Love" went gold in their native Mexico and the group were presented with the prize in a glitzy ceremony in the capital.
Known for their often incendiary Spanish and English lyrics, Molotov has sold more than three million records worldwide.
Band member Tito Fuentes said he relishes their continued chart success despite growing piracy concerns in the music industry.
SOUNDBITE: Tito Fuentes, Molotov Band Member, saying (Spanish):
"This is big, the official, legitimate sales for an album that we like a lot which is the "(From) Russia (With Love)" which was a very cool experience. We are analysing how the music market has changed and the most convenient way to sell our music etc etc. But now is the time to celebrate."
Singer Paco Ayala said the band are often pulled between touring the world and producing new music.
SOUNDBITE: Paco Ayala, Singer for Molotov, saying:
"I think what comes next is a good album with good songs to prepare good material for which there is little time to do because a tour always takes you from one place to another."
The acclaimed group characterises its music as a combination of rock, rap, funk, and occasionally cumbia.
Molotov is also known for providing the soundtrack to hit film and tv shows, including: "Y Tu Mama Tambien," and "Breaking Bad".
