Twelve people have been arrested in France after operations against suspected Islamic militant cells.
The police raids follow warnings by Western governments of an increased risk of terror attacks across Europe.
Nine suspects were held in the cities of Marseilles and Avignon where investigators found a pump-action shotgun and an AK47 assault rifle.
In an apparently separate operation three more men were arrested - again in Marseilles and also Bordeaux.
That happened as Germany investigates the deaths of five German men in a drone strike on Monday in Pakistan.
It's reported they travelled there from Hamburg for military training.
