Hundreds of people have been charged with robbery, arson and violent disorder. But some of those arrested say they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Many of the people arrested in the riots are young and unemployed, some analysts point to the economic situation as a contributing factor.
But others say it's the way young people are perceived by the authorities that has left them so angry.
