Fans of both teams involved in a deadly stampede in Port Said on Wednesday have blamed the security forces and the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces for what they say may have been a planned effort to stir one side against the other, leaving at least 74 people dead.

Fans of the winning home side, Al Masry, stormed the pitch after defeating favoured opponents Al Ahly 3 to 1. Fans allege that security forces refused to open stadium gates to allow the crush of fans to flee, and that men with weapons were allowed into the crowds beforehand.

Al Jazeera's Andy Richardson reports from Port Said.
