Actress Jennifer Garner's radiant smile brought sunshine to the "green turf" that lined the arrival line to her latest film, "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," which held it's world premiere in Hollywood on Monday night (August 06, 2012).
The film is an inspiring story of a happily married couple, Cindy and Jim Green, played by Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton, who can't wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. When young Timothy, played by newcomer CJ Adams, shows up on their doorstep one stormy night, Cindy and Jim-and their small town of Stanleyville-learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life's greatest gifts.
For Garner, the mother of three children with husband/actor Ben Affleck, the chance to play the mom in this film is one she admittedly chased after.
SOUNDBITE Actress Jennifer Garner saying (English):
"I'd liked to think that I could have played the role without having had kids. It is true that once you have them it fundamentally changes whatever you do. It of course it impacted this movie because I am right in the thick of, I do remember being a first-time mom, I do remember all the nervous energy that went into it. You can't help it."
Directed by Peter Hedges, "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" also stars Rosemarie DeWitt and Ron Livingston.
The film opens August 15.
