Fifteen people were injured when a bus carrying tourists from South Korea veered off from the highway and fell off a cliff at Taiwan's Taroko National Park in Hualian County. The bus fell off the cliff and rolled onto its side but did not fall all the way down to the river below. The tour bus, which was carrying 13 South Korean tourists, a tour guide and a local driver, experienced engine failure while travelling up the steep mountainous road. All the passengers on the bus, along with the tour guide and the driver, were sent to a local hospital for treatment. Two are reported by the local media to have serious but non-life threatening injuries. The group was visiting the scenic area of Taroko National Park in eastern part of Taiwan. The area is mountainous and accidents are frequent.
