Bollywood starlet Nupur Mehta was questioned in Mumbai over the Geetika Sharma suicide case. Nupur was the VP of the now defunct MDLR airlines which was own by former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda. Nupur has claimed that she met Geetika in Goa when she was 17 years old. Sources have said that Geetika had filed complaint against Nupur Mehta in Goa.
Geetika had allegedly committed suicide on August 5 in her Ashok Vihar residence in New Delhi and in her suicide note had pointed fingers at former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda, her former employer at MDLR airline and Aruna Chaddha, MDLR official. The deceased and her family alleged that Kanda was pressurising Geetika to rejoin his firm after she left the job. Kanda had surrendered before the Police on August 18 after evading arrest for ten days.
