Baja California has been hit by an earthquake measuring 7 point 2 on the richter scale, one of the strongest in decades. It was felt hardest in the border city of Mexicali, where two men were killed and others are believed to be trapped in the ruins of their homes. An estimated twenty million people felt the tremors.
