At least four students died and 44 others were injured in central China after a bus ran off a 30-metre (98.5 feet) cliff in Hunan Province on Thursday (October 18).
The bus, which was nearly full to capacity, was taking the students, aged 17 through 21, and a teacher from Hunan Diaoxian county Junior Normal School to Yongzhou city to sit an exam, according to the official Xinhua news agency.
Two students died at the scene and another two died later in hospital, said Xinhua, quoting a local official.
A preliminary report said poor driving was to blame for the accident, Xinhua said, adding further that investigation was still underway.
