Congolese Rebels, thought to be backed by Rwanda take control of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
After fighting off U.N.-backed Congolese forces, the group of mutinying soldiers seized control of the border city.
One resident says they've been abandoned by the government and the U.N., which gave up defending the city.

"The United Nations peacekeepers are completely useless, they stood and watched the rebels take over without putting up any resistance. We feel absolutely cheated."
United Nations experts and the DRC government accuse Rwanda of sponsoring the revolt to seize the region's mineral wealth.
U.N.-backed efforts have failed to halt violence or rein in rebel groups in the east of the country.
