Samoans clean up after a deadly cyclone hammered their small Pacific Ocean country last week.

The tropical storm killed at least four people and left parts of the capital - Apia - ankle deep in mud.

Cyclone Evan flattened hundreds of homes, leaving parts of the country without power and water.

It even tossed around cars like rag dolls.

The devastation and subsequent shortages have complicated rescue efforts, say volunteers.

"The water is really dirty now. There's a lack of clean water and water for food."

The powerful cyclone was reported to be getting stronger as it headed towards Fiji.
