Overseas sales of military hardware by Russia topped the 11 billion euro mark - a record figure and surpassing all forecasts by around half a million euros.
Russian news agencies quoted President Vladimir Putin as saying the country's defence industry also sealed export contracts worth another 11.3 billion euros for 2012.
