Today is the second anniversary of unilateral declaration of independence by the Serbian Province of Kosovo. Nebosja Malic says that independence only works if other nations support it and that is why the support that Kosovo received from western powers is how Kosovo became a nation. He also says that Kosovo's independence may inspire other countries to unilaterally declare independence as well.
