New Bristol band ‘Coasts’ are set to release their second single Lion’s on 13th August after their UK Tour this month. The five-piece band showcase dance-punk inspired guitars and upbeat, tribal drums on the track, pulled together by catchy vocals. A distinct summer sound ready for festival season, their listening is both light-hearted and powerful. Coasts formed last year after meeting at university in Bath and relocating to Bristol. The band says their sound incorporates, ‘tribal drums, tropical strings, thundered keys, and lost cries.’ Citing influence from Foals, Future Islands and The Cure, their indie pop sound could get lost within the showers of the British summer, but catchy percussion and strong vocals, make for a ‘tropical indie’, energetic, fresh sound, along with plenty of charisma.
