This four-minute short, Le Faune (The Fairies and the Faun), was shot in 1908 by the Pathé brothers. It takes the form of a ballet filled with trick photography and beautiful hand-tinted colours. The music is composed and performed by Icelandic cellist Hildur Guðnadóttir.
