Before someone else says it.....revving the engine when cold also hurts it immensely. They say an engine generally gets more wear and tear in the first minute after starting it up than in the next few hours of riding put together. You should always wait 1-3 min after starting a cold engine.....and then another few minutes before bringing the rpms up high.
