BBC’s Nick Higham’s second report …Work has begun to raise the only surviving German World War II Dornier 17 bomber, the “flying pencil”, from its watery grave. Disappointing, what the diver Joe Prill had to say – there were “very few obstructions” to placing a frame around the aircraft, which the salvage team hopes will allow them to bring it up to the surface. And then the weather turned, heavy winds stopped the operation! (cont).
