Amid chorus to ban the IPL after a spot-fixing scandal broke out, former Indian cricketer and commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu has came out in defense of the IPL. Sidhu has compared the IPL to the Parliament. Sidhu has said on the social media that if the Parliament can be sacrosanct, then why call IPL the Indian Paap League. Sidhu's comment hasn't gone down well in the political circle and kicked up a fresh political storm.
